Enhancing Low‐Temperature Performance of Sodium‐Ion Batteries via Anion‐Solvent Interactions
DOL is introduced into electrolytes as a co‐solvent, increasing slat solubility, ion conductivity, and the de‐solvent process, and forming an anion‐rich solvent shell due to its high interaction with anion. With the above virtues, the batteries using this electrolyte exhibit excellent cycling stability at low temperatures. Abstract Sodium‐ion batteries

The study presents biodegradable and recyclable mixed‐matrix membranes (MMMs), hydrogels, and cryogels using luminescent nanoscale metal‐organic frameworks (nMOFs) and biopolymers. These bio‐nMOF‐MMMs combine europium‐based nMOFs as probes for the status of the materials with the biopolymers agar and gelatine and present alternatives to conventional ...

Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.

Dynamic and static load effect of non-uniformly “bow-shaped” super-thick key strata
The rupture of super-thick key strata is a crucial factor in triggering mine dynamic disasters. Investigating the impact of their non-uniform thickness on mining-induced stress environments and rupture dynamic loads, and further revealing the mechanism ...

Implementation of Drug‐Induced Rhabdomyolysis and Acute Kidney Injury in Microphysiological System
A modular Muscle–Kidney proximal tubule‐on‐a‐chip integrates 3D skeletal muscle and renal proximal tubule tissues to model drug‐induced rhabdomyolysis and acute kidney injury. The coculture system enables dynamic tissue interaction, functional contraction monitoring, and quantification of nephrotoxicity, revealing drug side effect‐induced metabolic ...

Unraveling Ice–Solid Interface Rupture Dynamics: Insights from Molecular Dynamics Simulations
Unwanted icing on exposed surfaces poses significant risks, driving the quest for effective anti-icing mechanisms. While fracture mechanics concepts have been developed for designing coatings that weaken the ice-solid interface on soft surfaces, the factors that dictate ice adhesion strength and its counterpart, ice removal force, on hard surfaces ...
