Dynamic Shear Modulus and Damping Ratio of Sand–Rubber Mixtures under Large Strain Range [PDF]
Adding rubber into sands has been found to improve the mechanical behavior of sands, including their dynamic properties. However, ambiguous and even contradictory results have been reported regarding the dynamic behavior of sand–rubber mixtures ...

Structural relaxation time and dynamic shear modulus of glassy graphene [PDF]
We theoretically investigate glass transition behaviors of the glassy graphene in a wide range of temperature, where this amorphous graphene is described as a hard-sphere fluid. The dynamic arrest of a particle is assumingly caused by interactions with its nearest neighbors and surrounding fluid particles.

Dynamic shear modulus of glycerol: Corrections due to instrument compliance [PDF]
A recent article by Shi et al. [J. Chem. Phys.123, 174507 (2005)] reports results from mechanical measurements on three simple inorganic glass formers: glycerol, m-toluidine, and sucrose benzoate. The experiments carried out were stress relaxation, aging, and dynamic (all in shear) using a torsional rheometer, an advanced rheometric expansion system ...

Research on Comparison of the Maximum Dynamic Shear Modulus Test
AbstractDynamic soil modulus and damping ratio are the two basic parameters to describe dynamic deformation characteristics of the soil. There are three ways to obtain soil dynamics parameters i.e. field test, laboratory test, and calculating empirical. Silt loam samples were collected from Dongying area in this study.

Due to the occurrence of earth tremors which leads to the vibrations of foundations and perhaps failure of buildings and roads, it is therefore important to understand and have knowledge of the geomechanical soil properties for foundation design, assessment of risks and suggestion of mitigation plans in engineering structures and road construction.

Dynamic Shear Modulus of Tricresyl Phosphate and Squalane [PDF]
We have measured the shear modulus and viscosity of two supercooled liquids: tricresyl phosphate and squalane. In both cases we find that the width of the peak in the imaginary part of the shear modulus narrows as the temperature is lowered toward the glass transition temperature.

Dynamic Shear Modulus in Torsion of Human Dentin
The dynamic shear modulus of human dentin was measured using a torsion pendulum between 23°C and 150°C. Dentin had a relatively stable modulus in spite of increasing temperature. The shear moduli at 37°C for 20 specimens were in the range of 5.77×1010 dyne/cm2-1.06×1011 dyne/cm2.

Dynamic Shear Modulus and Evolution of Fabric of Granular Materials
A computer program TRUBAL was used to study fabric and shear modulus for sphere assemblies. It was shown by comparison with the experimental results that TRUBAL is able to describe the behavior of granular material qualitatively. The shear modulus was found to have a close relationship with the coordination number.

Dynamic testing of the elastic modulus and shear modulus of full-scale laminated veneer lumber [PDF]
The feasibility of the dynamic testing was explored for the elastic modulus and shear modulus of full-scale laminated veneer lumber in batches at the production site. In order to do so, dynamic testing and analysis, involving a hammer blow and detection of frequencies, were carried out on the laminated veneer lumber free-plate placed in two ways ...

Dynamic Methods to Evaluate the Shear Modulus of Wood
There are different dynamic or static test methodologies for evaluating the shear and torsional moduli of wood. A preferred method is nondestructive, accurate, and standard. However, dynamic methods using conventional devices previously suggested for determining the orthotropic shear moduli of wood are neither accurate nor standard.
