Lifetime estimation of events from Dynamic Vision Sensors [PDF]
We propose an algorithm to estimate the “lifetime” of events from retinal cameras, such as a Dynamic Vision Sensor (DVS). Unlike standard CMOS cameras, a DVS only transmits pixel-level brightness changes (“events”) at the time they occur with micro-second resolution.

Illumination-Based Synchronization of High-Speed Vision Sensors
To acquire images of dynamic scenes from multiple points of view simultaneously, the acquisition time of vision sensors should be synchronized. This paper describes an illumination-based synchronization method derived from the phase-locked loop (PLL ...

In-vivo imaging of neural activity with dynamic vision sensors [PDF]
Optical recording of neural activity using calcium or voltage indicators requires cameras capable of detecting small temporal contrast in light intensity with sample rates of 10 Hz to 1 kHz. Large pixel scientific CMOS image sensors (sCMOS) are typically used due to their high resolution, high frame rate, and low noise.

Camera parameters estimation from pose detections [PDF]
Some computer vision tasks become easier with known camera calibration. We propose a method for camera focal length, location and orientation estimation by observing human poses in the scene.

Temperature and Parasitic Photocurrent Effects in Dynamic Vision Sensors [PDF]
The effect of temperature and parasitic photocurrent on event-based dynamic vision sensors (DVS) is important because of their application in uncontrolled robotic, automotive, and surveillance applications. This paper considers the temperature dependence of DVS threshold temporal contrast (TC), dark current, and background activity caused by junction ...
