Bütschli Dynamic Droplet System
Artificial Life, 2013Dynamical oil-water systems such as droplets display lifelike properties and may lend themselves to chemical programming to perform useful work, specifically with respect to the built environment. We present Bütschli water-in-oil droplets as a model for further investigation into the development of a technology with living properties.

Computer systems are dynamical systems
Chaos: An Interdisciplinary Journal of Nonlinear Science, 2009In this paper, we propose a nonlinear dynamics-based framework for modeling and analyzing computer systems. Working with this framework, we use a custom measurement infrastructure and delay-coordinate embedding to study the dynamics of these complex nonlinear systems.

PARTIALLY HYPERBOLIC DYNAMICAL SYSTEMS
Mathematics of the USSR-Izvestiya, 1974Smooth dynamical systems having contracting and expanding invariant foliations (of not necessarily complementary dimensions) are investigated. Ergodicity and the K-property are established for such dynamical systems under additional assumptions.

Group Dynamics People tend to structure their beliefs in a way that appears consistent to them. But how do some beliefs within groups persist in the face of social pressure, whereas others change and, by changing, influence a cascade of other beliefs? Friedkin et al.

We consider in this paper a Co vector field X on a Co compact manifold Mn (&M, the boundary of M, may be empty or not) satisfying the following conditions: (1) At each singular point /8 of X, there is a cell neighborhood N and a Co function f on N such that X is the gradient of f on N in some riemannian structure on N.

Dynamics, Systems, Dynamical Systems and Interaction Graphs
2011The theories of Graphs and Dynamical Systems are well established and mature mathematical disciplines. Their objects of study have been used to enlighten life phenomena at least since the nineteenth century. For a long while, these employ went along rather parallel paths. Recently, problems in the life sciences are challenging an encounter between them,
