CECILIA: Ultradeep Rest-optical Spectra of Faint Galaxies at Cosmic Noon
Intrinsically faint galaxies at z ∼ 2–3 offer critical insights into early galaxy formation, tracing low-metallicity, low-mass systems during cosmic noon and serving as analogs to reionization-era galaxies. We present ultradeep JWST/NIRSpec spectroscopy

We present the UV-to-near-IR (NIR) size evolution of a sample of 161 quiescent galaxies with M _* > 10 ^10 M _⊙ over 0.5 3 quiescent galaxies in our sample are very compact, with mass surface densities Σ _e ≳ 10 ^10 M _⊙ kpc ^−2 , and their R _e are ...

Context. In this paper, we analyse a sample of low surface brightness dwarf galaxies with a mean effective surface brightness of μ̅e,g > 24.2 μ ¯ e , g > 24.2 $ \bar{\mu}_{e,g} > 24.2 $ mag arcsec−2, detected using interpretable ...

Dwarf Galaxies with Radio-excess Active Galactic Nuclei in the Very Large Array Sky Survey
We present a systematic search for radio active galactic nuclei (AGNs) in dwarf galaxies using recent observations taken by the Very Large Array Sky Survey (VLASS).

There are for the galaxies of FRII type (like Cygnus A) studied a number of hydrodynamic and kinetic processes to transport of magnetized plasma with cosmic rays, and a stratification process of RG-lobe because of e\p-cosmic rays.

The active suppression of star formation in galaxies is critical for preventing the growth of overly massive systems and explaining the formation of present-day elliptical galaxies.

Star-forming compact groups: Tracing the early evolutionary stages of compact group environments
Context. In the context of pre-processing – a scenario where galaxies quench their star formation within substructures before falling into clusters – we investigate the impact of environment on the physical and morphological properties of galaxies in ...

266 E+A galaxies selected from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey Data Release 2: the origin of E+A galaxies [PDF]
E+A galaxies are characterized as a galaxy with strong Balmer absorption lines but without any [OII] nor H$α$ emission lines. The existence of strong Balmer absorption lines indicates that E+A galaxies have experienced starburst within recent one Gyr.
