In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

The band energy structure of RbKSO4 crystals
The energy band structure of mechanically free and compressed RbKSO4 single crystals is investigated. It is established that the top of the valence band is located at the D point of the Brillouin zone [k = (0.5, 0.5, 0)], the bottom of the conduction ...

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Probing room temperature indirect and minimum direct band gaps of h-BN
Hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) has attracted considerable interest as an ultrawide bandgap (UWBG) semiconductor. Experimental studies focused on the detailed near band-edge structure of h-BN at room temperature are still lacking.

Design of an H-plane iris band-pass filter at V-band
To meet the needs of up converters for low insertion loss and high suppression filters, an H-plane iris band-pass filter at V-band was designed and fabricated.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

A shadow gap in the over-doped (Ba1-xKx)Fe2As2 compound
The electron band around the M point in the $({\text{Ba}_{1-x}}{{\text{K}}_{x}}){\text{Fe}_{2}}{\text{As}_{2}}$ compound, which is completely lifted up above the Fermi level for $x>0.7$ and hence its Fermi surface (FS) disappears, can still play the role
