We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Development of an E-maintenance System Integrating Advanced Techniques
In recent years, globalization and fast growth of communication technologies, computer and information technologies have changed the pattern of maintenance. Accordingly, a new maintenance, e-maintenance has emerged and has been gradually replacing the traditional maintenance.

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

E-maintenance web-based services for production systems
S.637-645In contrast to the already established remote diagnostics in case of machine failure, new online services can support the customer not only in exceptional situations but also in the daily production process during the whole life cycle of the ...

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Integrated reliability centred maintenance approach in public sector facilities management. [PDF]
Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) is focused on ensuring an asset continues to provide its designed function in its present operating context. Through a number of stages, RCM allows for thorough and constant monitoring of assets to maintain their ...

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.
