E58 The rheumatologic masquerader: a case report on SLE-dermatomyositis-systemic scleroderma overlap syndrome

open access: closedRheumatology, 2023
Abstract Introduction Juvenile dermatomyositis is an autoimmune connective tissue disorder characterized by idiopathic inflammatory myopathy primarily affecting the skin and muscles(1, 2). It may occur alone or in overlap syndromes usually with systemic scleroderma, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE ...

Influence of growth substrate on production of cellulase enzymes by Trichoderma harzianum E58

open access: closedBiotechnology and Bioengineering, 1988
AbstractCellulase production by Trichoderma harzianum E58 grown on lactose and various cellulosic substrates such as Solka Floe, Avicel, and steamed aspenwood was investigated. The culture filtrates of T. harzianum E58 obtained after growth on these substrates were assayed for their cellulase activities and overall hydrolytic activities.

A comparison between the cellulase systems of Trichoderma harzianum E58 and Trichoderma reesei C30

open access: closedApplied Microbiology and Biotechnology, 1985
Nearly all of the filter paper, endoglucanase and β-glucosidase activities of T. harzianum E58 were located extracellularly, with low amounts of these activities detected in the cell extracts and relatively little associated with the cell wall. Most of the filter paper and endoglucanase activities of T. reesei C30 were detected extracellularly.

Continuous glucose production using encapsulated mycelial-associated ?-glucosidase from Trichoderma E58

open access: closedBiotechnology Letters, 1982
Cellobiose and salicin were continuously hydrolysed in a packed bed reactor containing Trichoderma sp. E-58, encapsulated in calcium alginate beads. Continuous β-glucosidase activities were measured using inlet substrate concentrations of 10 mM and 35 mM for cellobiose and salicin respectively.

Extracellular beta-D-mannanase activity from Trichoderma harzianum E58.

open access: closed, 1991
In this work, 4 yeasts (Pichia wickerhammi, Candida wickerhammi, Pichia stipitis CBS5776, Pichia stipitis CBS5876), and 5 fungi (Theivalia spp., Thermoascus aurantiacus, Tyromyces palustris A, Aspergillus niger, Trichoderma harzianum), known to excrete enzymes capable of hydrolyzing polysaccharides found in association with $\beta$-D-mannans, were ...

Glucose production using immobilized mycelial-associated ?-glucosidase of Trichoderma E58

open access: closedBiotechnology Letters, 1982
The immobilization of the mycelial-associated β-glucosidase of Trichoderma E-58 has been carried out by encapsulating, in calcium alginate beads, the fungal mycelium obtained durinq liquid culture. The activity of this immobilized β-glucosidase was found to vary with culture age and to be more thermally stable than the extracellular β-glucosidase ...

The copurification of β-glucosidase, β-xylosidase, and 1,3-β-glucanase in two separate enzyme complexes isolated from Trichoderma harzianum E58

open access: closedBiochemistry and Cell Biology, 1987
Two enzyme complexes, each with β-glucosidase (β-D-glucoside glucohydrolase, EC 3.2.1.21), β-xylosidase (β-D-xylan xylohydrolase, EC 3.2.1.37), and 1,3-β-glucanase (laminarinase, EC 3.2.1.39) activity, were purified to near homogeneity from the cellulolytic fungus Trichoderma harzianum E58.
