Long‐Term Quality of Life After Removal of Batteries and Magnets From the Nose in Children
The Laryngoscope, EarlyView.Nasal button batteries and magnets can cause severe mucosal injury, most commonly erosion (56.4%), septal perforation (20.5%), and tissue necrosis (12.8%). At long‐term follow‐up, most complications had resolved, while prolonged foreign body retention and symptoms at presentation were significantly associated with persistent complications.

Correlating Vocal Fold Bowing and Thyroarytenoid Myocyte Dimensions in an Aging Rat Model
The Laryngoscope, EarlyView.This study sought to investigate the mechanisms underlying age‐related vocal atrophy by comparing the vocal folds of rats at various ages through endoscopic and histologic assessment. Aged rats demonstrated greater endoscopic vocal fold bowing and larger thyroarytenoid myocyte cross‐sectional area than non‐aged adult rats.
