ABSTRACT Pediatric gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (GEP‐NENs) are extremely rare and clinically heterogeneous. Management has largely been extrapolated from adult practice. This European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline (ESCP), developed by the EXPeRT network in collaboration with adult NEN experts, provides (adult) evidence ...

The Value-added Catalog of OB Stars in LAMOST DR7
In this work, we update the catalog of OB stars based on the Large Sky Area Multi-Object Fiber Spectroscopic Telescope data release 7 and modify the OB stars’ selection criteria in spectral line indices’ space.

Atomic diffusion in the atmosphere of Feige 86
We have revisited the ultraviolet and optical spectra of the blue horizontal branch star Feige 86. The new analysis finds the star cooler and more compact than previously determined. The IUE spectrum of Feige 86 holds numerous unidentified spectral lines

ABSTRACT Background PIK3CA‐related overgrowth spectrum (PROS) includes several rare overgrowth disorders resulting from somatic gain‐of‐function mutations in PIK3CA. Despite treatment advances, including the recent approval of alpelisib for PROS in the United States, literature detailing the patient experience with PROS is limited.

Observational aspects of macroturbulence in early type stars [PDF]
The basic premise of this paper is that the atmospheres of supergiants of spectral type 0, B, and A are not homogeneous static and stable. Observations show effects in the spectrum which seem to indicate velocity fields of many different scales, which probably are variable with depth and are certainly variable with time.

Wide binary stars in the Galactic field : a statistical approach [PDF]
This thesis focuses on the statistical properties of wide binary (WB) star systems in the Galactic field. With projected separations larger than 200 AU and, consequently, having very low binding energies, WB are sensitive probes of the Galactic ...

ABSTRACT Background Sickle cell disease (SCD) is a chronic, inherited hemoglobinopathy that requires frequent hospitalization for disease‐related complications. Canadian data on inpatient care is limited. This study compared caregiver‐reported hospital experiences of children with SCD to those with cystic fibrosis (CF), a chronic, autosomal recessive ...

Chemical Abundances of Early Type Stars [PDF]
X-rays from early-type stars are emitted by the corona or the stellar wind. The materials in the surface layer of early-type stars are not contaminated by nuclear reactions in the stellar inside. Therefore, abundance study of the early-type stars provides us an information of the abundances of the original gas.

The Measurement of Masses of OB-type Stars from LAMOST DR5
The measurements of masses and luminosities of massive stars play an important role in understanding the formation and evolution of their host galaxies. In this work, we present the measurement of masses and luminosities of 2946 OB-type stars, including ...
