The Journal of Pediatrics, 1953Summary A method is described by which the development of the chest may be better appraised. The method consists in taking the circumference of the chest at two different levels, supramammillar and xiphoid, and comparing the two measurements. Mean values for these measurements are reported for infants and young children.
