Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

Epigenetic heterogeneity and plasticity in therapy‐induced tumor states through single‐cell multi‐omics

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single‐cell multi‐omics reveals epigenetic heterogeneity across therapy‐adaptive tumor states, including quiescent/dormant, drug‐tolerant persister, and EMT‐like phenotypes. By linking regulatory features with state‐associated biomarkers, these approaches inform biomarker‐guided therapeutic strategies for evolving tumors.

Exploration of Development Parameters for IgG Microspheres Using an Automated Platform for High-Throughput Formulation Screening

open access: yesPharmaceuticals
Background/Objectives: PLGA/PLA microspheres are attractive candidates for depot delivery of protein therapeutics, but formulation development for antibodies remains challenging because protein encapsulation, burst release, stability, and polymer ...

PAK1 activation drives divergent resistance mechanisms to aromatase inhibition and tamoxifen in a luminal: A breast cancer model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Breast cancer remains a major cause of cancer death in women, frequently developing endocrine therapy resistance. This study demonstrates that upregulated p21‐activated kinase 1 (PAK1) activity drives resistance to tamoxifen and long‐term estrogen deprivation in ER+ breast cancer models.

Preoperative circulating tumor cells integrated with imaging analysis for prognostic evaluation in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Detecting circulating tumor cells (CTCs) in blood before surgery may help predict outcomes in patients with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). Here, we show when combined with tumor size and lymph node involvement from routine imaging, CTC status identifies high‐risk patients with poorer survival—offering a simple, minimally invasive tool ...

Early versus conventional loading for fully guided immediate implant placement in molar sites: a randomized controlled clinical study

open access: yesInternational Journal of Implant Dentistry
Purpose To evaluate early versus conventional loading in immediate implants for molars. This study aims to answer the following PICO (Patient, Intervention, Comparison, and Outcome) question: In patients over 18 years of age, does early loading of ...

Assessment of Immediate versus Delayed Loading Protocols in Single Tooth Anterior Implants

open access: yesJournal of Pharmacy and Bioallied Sciences
Background: The timing of prosthetic loading plays a critical role in the long-term success of dental implants. In anterior maxillary regions, both functional and aesthetic outcomes are vital, and clinicians often debate between immediate and delayed ...

Loading of the artificial knee during early rehabilitation and physiotherapy

open access: yesBone & Joint Open
AimsThis retrospective observational study aimed to determine the in vivo joint loads in the knee after total knee arthroplasty during early postoperative rehabilitation involving different physiotherapy exercises and to analyze how these loads change over the first three weeks postoperatively.MethodsNine patients (six males, three females) with a ...
