Radiosensitivity and early onset cancer

Journal of Radiological Protection, 2023
Abstract The article is concerned with the radioprotection of a substantial radiosensitive population who present with cancer in early adulthood and will probably be treated with radiotherapy. A theory of radiation-induced health effects based on the induction of DNA double strand breaks is used to associate the radio-sensitivity of ...

Early-Onset Accommodative Esotropia

American Journal of Ophthalmology, 1980
Twenty-one patients had esotropia diagnosed before age 12 months. In all of these patients esotropia was eliminated, at least initially, by antiaccommodative therapy consisting of either full hypermetropic spectacles or miotics, or both. Clinical findings evaluated in these patients were comparable to similar clinical factors studied in a larger series

Early-Onset Accommodative Esotropia

Journal of Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus, 1999
ABSTRACT Purpose: To determine the frequency of accommodative esotropia with onset by 6 months of age; to determine if the presence or absence of characteristics usually associated with infantile esotropia can help in the diagnosis; and to determine if antiaccommodative therapy is adequate treatment for the esotropia.
