Surface Fermi Level Modulation of Photoanode by Optimized Conducting Nanoparticle Heterointerfaces for Enhanced Photoelectrochemical Water Splitting

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Optimizing the heterointerface coverage of the conducting Ni2P nanoparticles on the surface of BVO photoanode manipulates the surface Fermi‐level modulation, which significantly enhances photoelectrochemical oxygen evolution reaction. Our multiscale simulations and experimental results reveal that an optimal Ni2P coverage of 9.4% pins the surface Fermi

Quantifying Magnetic Anisotropy of Ferroelectric Fe(II) Square‐Pyramidal Systems Using Torque Magnetometry

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Five‐coordinate, square‐pyramidal Fe(II) complexes adopting polar, non‐centrosymmetric crystal structures exhibit exceptionally large easy‐axis magnetic anisotropy. Ligand‐driven distortions critically control the anisotropy, and the dielectric, Polarization vs Elecric field and piezo response studies confirm intrinsic polarization, positioning these ...

Dislocation‐Mediated Lattice Distortion and Griffiths Phase Behavior in Melt‐Spun Ni2MnSb Ribbons

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This figure illustrates how melt‐spinning introduces dislocations into Ni2MnSb Heusler alloys. TEM images reveal local lattice distortions and associated strain fields surrounding dislocations at a representative wheel speed. As wheel speed increases, these distortions promote the formation of ferromagnetic clusters within a paramagnetic matrix ...

An Electrically Conducting Water‐based Reversible Adhesive

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
A water‐based reversible glue is demonstrated. The glue has electrical properties similar to other conducting adhesives but can detach after an alkaline wash. Metal fillers are added to an aqueous mixture of polymer nanoparticles synthesized by emulsion polymerization. The nanoparticles are stabilized by poly(acrylic acid) chains bonded to them. The pH‐

Thin‐Film Thermal Sensors on Chitosan Substrates for Sustainable Transient Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Fully transient thin‐film temperature sensors are realized on pure chitosan substrates using Mo‐based RTDs and a‐IGZO/Mo thermistors. The devices exhibit high sensitivity, mechanical flexibility, humidity‐aware operation, and complete dissolution in natural solvents.

Uranium Doped Gallium Nitride Epitaxial Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Uranium was controllably added to gallium nitride using molecular beam epitaxy. The uranium atoms segregated into vertically oriented regions with higher doping levels. Concentrations up to a few percent were achieved without showing significant degradation in the crystalline quality or optical characteristics. Low electrical resistivity was maintained
