Analysis of the Effect of UTI-UTC to High Precision Orbit Propagation [PDF]
As the spatial resolution of remote sensing satellites becomes higher, very accurate determination of the position of a LEO (Low Earth Orbit) satellite is demanding more than ever.

Dynamic Precipitation during High‐Pressure Torsion of a Magnesium–Manganese Alloy
An ultrafine‐grained alloy is produced by high‐pressure torsion of solutionized Mg–1.35 wt% Mn. Precipitation of nanometer‐scale Mn particles during deformation provides pinning sites. This prevents the formation of a bimodal grain structure and results in a finer grain size than for pure Mg.

An idea of designing novel sensors is proposed by creating appropriate Schottky barriers and vacancies between isomorphous Core‐CuOii/ Shell‐CuOi secondary microspheres and enhancing catalytic and spill‐over effects, and electronegativity via spontaneous biphasic separation, self‐assembly, and trace‐Ni‐doping.

Atmospheric dynamics of Earth-like tidally locked aquaplanets
We present simulations of atmospheres of Earth-like aquaplanets that are tidally locked to their star, that is, planets whose orbital period is equal to the rotation period about their spin axis, so that one side always faces the star and the other side ...

Iron‐based metallic glass alloys exhibit excellent soft‐magnetic properties, and unprecedented geometrical freedom in the design of soft‐magnetic metallic glass components is made possible by additive manufacturing. An efficient workflow for developing parameters for laser‐based powder bed fusion of a Fe‐based metallic glass alloy is presented along ...

An international symposium on the Rotation of the Earth will be held May 9 through 15, 1971, in Morioka, Japan. The symposium is sponsored by the IAU in cooperation with the IUGG. The principal purpose of the symposium is to find a method of eliminating difficulties in the derivation of the correct coordinates of the pole and rotation of the earth ...

Report of the panel on earth rotation and reference frames, section 7 [PDF]
Objectives and requirements for Earth rotation and reference frame studies in the 1990s are discussed. The objectives are to observe and understand interactions of air and water with the rotational dynamics of the Earth, the effects of the Earth's crust ...

Curvature‐tuned auxetic lattices are designed, fabricated, and mechanically characterized to reveal how geometric curvature governs stretchability, stress redistribution, and Poisson's ratio evolution. Photoelastic experiments visualize stress pathways, while hyperelastic simulations quantify deformation mechanics.

Nonuniformity of the Earth's rotation and the motion of the poles [PDF]
The study of the nonuniformity of the Earth's rotation and the motion of the poles has great practical and theoretical significance. This study makes it possible to determine the coordinates of celestial and terrestrial objects, and to gain information ...
