By encapsulating industrially relevant fabrics with dynamic imine networks, we show that the resulting composites exhibit exceptional oil absorbtion capability and chemical recyclability. It is poised for sustainable oil spill cleanup. ABSTRACT The development of high‐performance sorbents for oil spill remediation is highly desirable, which now calls ...

Soil, competition, and niche shifts shape the floral mosaic of an annual plant diversity hotspot
Abstract Premise Plant species with affinity for harsh substrates often have well‐defined edaphic (soil) niches and are ideal for exploring questions of community assembly. Vertic clay soils are chemically and physically challenging to plant establishment and productivity, and annual plant communities associated with these soils of the San Joaquin ...

ABSTRACT Over recent decades, the collection of seismic data has improved the understanding of near‐fault ground motion effects, which involve both horizontal and vertical components. Among the most significant effects are fault‐normal directivity, which concentrates seismic energy into an intense, long‐period pulse, and fault‐parallel fling step ...

Dynamic earthquake rupture simulations in the Sea of Marmara
The 1912 Mürefte and 1999 Izmit M_w7.4 earthquakes are the last devastating events of the western and eastern sections of the Marmara region, respectively. The center of the Sea of Marmara, the region between locations of these two earthquakes, is prone to creating another large earthquake.
