Comparative Genomic Analysis of Vibrio diabolicus and Six Taxonomic Synonyms: A First Look at the Distribution and Diversity of the Expanded Species

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology, 2018
Vibrio is a diverse genus of Gammaproteobacteria autochthonous to marine environments worldwide. Vibrio diabolicus and V. antiquarius were originally isolated from deep-sea hydrothermal fields in the East Pacific Rise.

Lava flow layer‐East Pacific Rise

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, 1982
A multichannel seismic reflection profile across the East Pacific Rise near 9°N reveals an approximately 400 m thick layer at the top of the oceanic crust with seismic velocity of about 2.8 km/s at the Rise crest. This velocity increases to about 3.8 km/s, 210 km east of the Rise crest.

Trace element distributions in ridge flank sediments from the east Pacific Rise, and their use as proxies of past ocean conditions

open access: yes, 2008
The eastern equatorial and tropical Pacific regions are areas of significant carbon fluxes from theatmosphere to the ocean interior. Changes in the function of marine biogeochemical cycles in thisregion potentially exert an important control on global ...

Sea level change under IPCC-A2 scenario in Bohai, Yellow, and East China Seas

open access: yesWater Science and Engineering, 2014
Because of the environmental and socioeconomic impacts of anthropogenic sea level rise (SLR), it is very important to understand the processes leading to past and present SLRs towards more reliable future SLR projections.
