Status of ECRH project on EAST Tokamak
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2014A 140GHz electron cyclotron resonance heating and current drive (EC H&CD) project for EAST Tokamak is launched in 2011 with a total power of 4MW and pulse length of 100 s. The main objectives of the system are to provide central H&CD, assist start-up and control of MHD activities.

Pellet injectors for EAST and KSTAR tokamaks

Analysis of uncertainty in equilibrium reconstruction in the EAST superconducting tokamak
Review of Scientific Instruments, 2013The analysis of uncertainties of magnetic measurements in equilibrium reconstruction is carried out on the EAST (Experimental Advanced Superconducting Tokamak) tokamak. It is shown that uncertainties of magnetic diagnostics are about 0.2% and 10 mWb for flux loops and 0.6% and 20 G for magnetic probes.

Fast reciprocating probe system on the EAST superconducting tokamak
Review of Scientific Instruments, 2010A new fast reciprocating probe system (FRPS) has been built and installed on the outer midplane of the EAST tokamak to investigate the profiles of the boundary plasma parameters such as electron density and temperature. The system consists of a two-stage motion drive mechanism: slow motion and fast motion.

Observation of a strange MHD phenomenon on EAST tokamak
Physics Letters A, 2010A strange magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) phenomenon has been observed on EAST tokamak. The waveform of the MHD oscillations is similar to that of fishbone mode. The observation and analyzing results suggest that the appearance of the strange oscillations is associated with intensive impurity radiation.
