Soil Silicon Application Alleviates Drought Stress in Sugar Beet (Beta vulgaris L.)
ABSTRACT Background: The increasing frequency and intensity of drought events have led to yield and quality losses in sugar beet production in temperate regions in Central Europe. Under arid conditions, silicon (Si) application reduced beet yield losses under drought. Similar data for temperate climates are missing.

ABSTRACT The cave of Les Pradelles (Marillac‐le‐Franc, France) was repeatedly visited by Neandertals ~55 000 years ago and is a key site in discussions of Neandertal cannibalism. Excavations between 1967 and 1980 (Vandermeersch) and between 2001 and 2013 (Maureille/Mann) produced a rich faunal assemblage (>20 000 bones), alongside Quina Mousterian ...

Can't outrun recurrence: Long‐term outcomes of treating American black bear sarcoptic mange
Abstract The growing incidence of sarcoptic mange in American black bears (Ursus americanus) has become a concern for wildlife managers in the eastern United States. Inconsistency in the use of single and multi‐dose treatment approaches makes it difficult to evaluate their effects on post‐release outcomes of mange‐rehabilitated bears, which remain ...
