The two-component giant radio halo in the galaxy cluster Abell 2142 [PDF]
We report on a spectral study at radio frequencies of the giant radio halo in A2142 (z=0.0909), which we performed to explore its nature and origin. A2142 is not a major merger and the presence of a giant radio halo is somewhat surprising.

New 6cm and 11cm observations of the supernova remnant CTA 1
(Abridged) We conducted new 6cm and 11cm observations of CTA 1 using the Urumqi 25-m and Effelsberg 100-m telescopes. Data at other wavelengths were included to investigate the spectrum and polarisation properties.

In Eastern Boundary Upwelling Systems, cold coastal waters are separated from offshore by a strong cross-shore Sea Surface Temperature (SST) gradient zone. This upwelling front plays a major role for the coastal ecosystem. This paper proposes a method to

VLT/FLAMES-ARGUS observations of stellar wind--ISM cloud interactions in NGC 6357
We present optical/near-IR IFU observations of a gas pillar in the Galactic HII region NGC 6357 containing the young open star cluster Pismis 24. These observations have allowed us to examined in detail the gas conditions of the strong wind-clump ...

Two Case Studies of the Northwestern Argentinean Low: With and without a Coupled Transient Trough
The Northwestern Argentinean Low (NAL) intensifies the zonal component of the geopotential gradient to its east, intensifying the meridional wind and moisture flow from the tropics to the subtropics contibuting importantly to the South American Low-Level
