Scrotal Abscess Mimicking Fixed Drug Eruption Under Ibuprofen Therapy: A Diagnostic Pitfall

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 5, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Concurrent NSAID therapy can pharmacologically mask early scrotal abscess, generating a presentation that fulfills clinical and historical criteria for fixed drug eruption. Ibuprofen simultaneously acts as a recognized causative agent and suppresses infectious inflammatory signs.

Immediate Repair for Laceration of the Tunica Albuginea of the Corpora Cavernosa and Penile Urethral Injury Caused by Blunt Trauma to the Flaccid Penis: A Case Report

open access: yesIJU Case Reports, Volume 9, Issue 3, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Introduction Blunt trauma to the flaccid penis rarely causes laceration of the tunica albuginea of the corpora cavernosa. Case Presentation A 31‐year‐old male patient sustained blunt trauma to the flaccid penis during a basketball game, causing subcutaneous hematoma, hematuria, and urinary retention.

Evaluation of Loss of the Y Chromosome in Peripheral Blood as a Biomarker for Prostate Cancer

open access: yesThe Prostate, Volume 86, Issue 6, Page 665-675, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Prostate cancer (PCa) is the most common malignant tumor in men, but the widely used prostate‐specific antigen (PSA) test has limited diagnostic accuracy. Research proposes that the loss of the Y chromosome (LOY) may affect the occurrence and development of prostate cancer, aiming to assess its potential as a diagnostic biomarker to

Transmembrane Condensation in Albumin‐Loaded Giant Vesicles Induced by an Intrinsically Disordered Protein

open access: yesChemSystemsChem, Volume 8, Issue 3, May 2026.
An intrinsically disordered protein, Q20, forms transmembrane condensates with albumin‐loaded lipid and hybrid giant vesicles. Condensate insertion and membrane remodeling depend on giant vesicle size and membrane properties, inducing local lipid coupling without leakage and revealing a robust membrane‐condensate interplay.
