Intranasal diamorphine population pharmacokinetics modeling and simulation in pediatric breakthrough pain

open access: yesCPT: Pharmacometrics &Systems Pharmacology, Volume 14, Issue 3, Page 435-447, March 2025.
Abstract Intranasal diamorphine (IND), approved for managing breakthrough pain in the UK, has been identified as an acceptable alternative offering effective, expedient, and less traumatic analgesia for children. However, the current dose regimen in pediatric populations relies on clinical expertise while the pharmacokinetics properties are poorly ...

New exact relations for steady irrotational two-dimensional gravity and capillary surface waves

open access: yes, 2017
Steady two-dimensional surface capillary-gravity waves in irrotational motion are considered on constant depth. By exploiting the holomorphic properties in the physical plane and introducing some transformations of the boundary conditions at the free ...

A model‐based analysis of the CYP2C9 genotype effects on fluconazole inhibition using flurbiprofen, ketoprofen and tolbutamide as probe drugs

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Background The activity of CYP2C9, an important drug metabolism enzyme, is subject to the impact of genetic polymorphism. The single nucleotide polymorphism *3 is significantly associated with the increased exposure of CYP2C9 substrates. In addition, metabolic enzyme inhibitors such as fluconazole may also increase the drug exposure of CYP2C9 ...

Extracting Information from Qubit-Environment Correlations

open access: yes, 2014
Most works on open quantum systems generally focus on the reduced physical system by tracing out the environment degrees of freedom. Here we show that the qubit distributions with the environment are essential for a thorough analysis, and demonstrate ...

The Union Wage Mark‐Up for Immigrants in the United States

open access: yesIndustrial Relations: A Journal of Economy and Society, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Using data from the Current Population Survey (CPS) for 1995–2023, we show that unionized immigrants earn 10.1 log points less than unionized natives, of which 4.8 log points are due to a lower union wage mark‐up. Therefore, unionization is beneficial for immigrants but to a lesser extent than for natives in the United States.
