Robust steganographic framework for securing sensitive healthcare data of telemedicine using convolutional neural network

open access: yesCAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology, EarlyView.
Abstract Data is the key element that runs the modern society. Large amounts of data are being released day by day as a result of many activities. The digital data is transferred through the Internet which may be vulnerable to attacks while transmitting. Especially, the medical data is observed to be of at most importance.

Intra‐ and Interspecific Effects on Spatio‐Temporal Behavior of Common Commensal Rodent Species

open access: yesIntegrative Zoology, EarlyView.
This study revealed major findings on spatio‐temporal behavior of commensal rodents on a pig farm showing the influence of interspecific dominance on movement behavior and the resulting species‐specific ecological adaptations. Additionally, rodents tend to stay in their home ranges and migration to other stable buildings is only rare.

Mini ECC vs. conventional ECC : an examination of venous oxygen saturation, haemoglobin, haematocrit, flow, cardiac index and oxygen delivery

open access: yes, 2010
In our clinical daily routine, it is noticeable that lower cardiac indices are reached more often without negative consequences when using mini extracorporeal circulation (ECC) systems than when using open ECC systems.

Quantifying permeability of linear barriers to animal movement: The permeability R package

open access: yesMethods in Ecology and Evolution, EarlyView.
Abstract Animals have always navigated environments characterized by linear features that influence movement, whether rivers, ridges or ravines. Large‐scale changes in land use have led to increasing interactions with anthropogenic features, especially roads and fences.

Predictive factors for the absence of high‐grade intraepithelial lesions in LLETZ specimens following a prior histological diagnosis

open access: yesActa Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica, EarlyView.
About 9.4% of patients with biopsy‐proven high‐grade cervical lesions had ultimately no high‐grade lesion (HGIL) in the excision specimen. The probability of the absence of HGIL was significantly increased in patients with a small lesion, with minor changes or normal colposcopy, and in those with normal cytology or minor abnormalities.

Assessing the clinical value of cervical biopsies in individuals with transformation zone type 3 at colposcopy: A cross‐sectional study

open access: yesActa Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica, EarlyView.
In transformation zone type 3, a systematic multiple biopsy protocol improved CIN2+ detection, particularly in high‐grade referrals, whereas yield remained limited in low‐grade referral cases. DSI‐assisted colposcopy did not increase biopsy sensitivity’.

TAILORING ECC FOR COMMERCIAL APPLICATION

open access: yes
The relative high cost remains an obstacle for wider commercial use of Engineered Cement-based Composites (ECC). By making extensive use of locally available, waste materials as ingredients, this may be overcome.

Validation of Aortic Blood Flow Simulations During Extracorporeal Circulation Using Phase Contrast Magnetic Resonance Imaging

open access: yesArtificial Organs, EarlyView.
This is the first study assessing in vivo blood flow profiles during extracorporeal circulation (ECC) scenarios. Magnetic resonance imaging data served for the calibration of computational fluid dynamics algorithms, enabling accurate replication of the hemodynamic conditions.
