Thermographic Assessment of Eccentric Overload Training Within Three Days of a Running Session

Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research, 2016
The aim of this study was to analyze the changes in patellar and Achilles tendons between a group trained using eccentric overload and an untrained group within 3 days of a running session. To this end, infrared thermography (IRT) will be used. Twenty healthy male subjects were divided into 2 groups.

Muscle damage and resting metabolic rate after acute resistance exercise with an eccentric overload

Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise, 1999
The purpose of this investigation was to determine whether muscle damage caused from acute resistance exercise with an eccentric overload would influence resting metabolic rate (RMR) up to 72 h postexercise in resistance-trained (RT) and untrained (UT) subjects.Nine RT and 9 UT male subjects (mean +/- SD; age = 20.7 +/- 2.1 yr; body mass = 79.0 +/- 1.4

USP20 deletion promotes eccentric cardiac remodeling in response to pressure overload and increases mortality

American Journal of Physiology-Heart and Circulatory Physiology
We identify ubiquitin-specific peptidase 20 (USP20) as an important enzyme that is required for cardiac homeostasis and function, particularly during myocardial pressure overload. USP20 regulates protein stability of cardiac MYH7, an essential molecular motor protein expressed in sarcomeres; loss-of-function mutations of MYH7 are associated with human
