Digital model for switching transistors in series-gated ECL

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 1989
A digital model is proposed that allows function verification and timing analysis of series-gated ECL to be performed on a logic simulator. Traditionally, an analogue simulator will be necessary because series-gated ECL circuits are constructed from transistors rather than primitive gates.

The impact of the expected credit loss model under IFRS 9 on loan loss recognition timeliness: early evidence from the Egyptian banks [PDF]

open access: yesالمجلة العلمية للدراسات والبحوث المالية والتجارية, 2021
The central bank of Egypt (CBE) has obligated the Egyptian banks as of 2019 to apply IFRS 9 to provide more timely information about the expected credit losses (ECL).

Implementing Expected Credit Loss in the Iranian Banking Industry [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Journal of Accounting, Auditing & Finance, 2023
IFRS 9 changes the bank’s impairment accounting for debt instruments by replacing the incurred credit loss model with a forward-looking expected credit loss (ECL) model.

Model-Based Weaning Tests for VA-ECLS Therapy [PDF]

open access: yesComputational and Mathematical Methods in Medicine, 2020
Venoarterial extracorporeal life support (VA-ECLS) is used in ICUs (intensive care units) for the most extreme presentations of acute and severe cardiogenic shock, and one of the main issues the clinicians have to deal with is the weaning from VA-ECLS. In this study, a patient-specific model of the cardiovascular system connected to a VA-ECLS is built ...

Adapting the Default Weighted Survival Analysis Modelling Approach to Model IFRS 9 LGD

open access: yesRisks, 2021
Survival analysis is one of the techniques that could be used to predict loss given default (LGD) for regulatory capital (Basel) purposes. When using survival analysis to model LGD, a proposed methodology is the default weighted survival analysis (DWSA ...

Fast estimation of adult cerebral blood content and oxygenation with hyperspectral time-resolved near-infrared spectroscopy

open access: yesFrontiers in Neuroscience, 2023
Near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) can measure tissue blood content and oxygenation; however, its use for adult neuromonitoring is challenging due to significant contamination from their thick extracerebral layers (ECL; primarily scalp and skull).

The Effect of Character and Local Wisdom-Integrated Causalitic Model Learning on Problem-Solving Skills and the Development of Environmental Conservation Literacy

open access: yesJPFT (Jurnal Pendidikan Fisika dan Teknologi), 2023
The study aims to examine the effect of a causalitic learning model that integrates character and local wisdom on problem solving ability (PSA) physics and environmental conservation literacy (ECL) development of students.

Effects of the ECL Model on Regulatory Capital in European Banks

open access: yesInternational Journal of Finance & Banking Studies (2147-4486), 2022
The paper’s purpose was to assess whether the effects on the regulatory capital of the ECL model in European banks differs among those that adopted IRB or standardized approaches to credit risk management. The empirical tests revealed that there was a significant reduction in the level of capita buffers of European banks when the IFRS 9 was first ...

Electrochemiluminescence Mechanisms Investigated with Smartphone‐Based Sensor Data Modeling, Parameter Estimation and Sensitivity Analysis

open access: yesChemistryOpen, 2020
The present study introduces a unified framework combining a mechanistic model with a genetic algorithm (GA) for the parameter estimation of electrochemiluminescence (ECL) kinetics of the Ru(bpy)32+/TPrA system occurring in a smartphone‐based sensor. The
