EclipseNB: A Network of Low‐Cost GNSS Receivers to Study the Ionosphere

open access: yesSpace Weather
This work aims to demonstrate that dense networks of low‐cost dual‐frequency global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) receivers can be used to retrieve ionospheric electron content with almost the same level of accuracy as scientific‐grade GNSS ...

Small-Scale Projects and Their Potential for Urban Regeneration: Experiences from Eastern Germany [PDF]

open access: yesEconomic and Business Review, 2016
The notion that urban living is composed of multiple, interacting aspects instead of only depending on the condition of buildings is widely known. However, once urban renewal is considered, talk automatically turns to large-scale rebuilding projects.

DNA‐Templated 2D Heterostructures as Phototriggered Dynamic Nanohybrids: From Releasing Molecular Loads to Controlling Enzyme Biocatalytic Function

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
DNA strands are employed both as dynamic linkers and nanoscale templates for the integration of Ag2S nanoparticles on MoS2, which in turn imparted photothermal responsiveness; this feature permits the selective cargo (fluorophore, quantum dots or an enzyme) release from the MoS2 surface in response to local heat induced by light irradiation.

Artery‐on‐Chip Demonstrates Mechanical and Functional Features of Healthy and Diseased Living Smooth Muscle Tissue

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This article details the development of an artery‐on‐chip platform for in vitro arterial disease modeling and therapeutic discovery. It describes the fabrication of a fibrin biomaterial scaffold seeded with iPSC‐derived smooth muscle and endothelial cells, mimicking native artery properties. Two genetic disease models showcase the platform's ability to

Under one Arkansas sky: bridging science and community in rural America

open access: yesFrontiers in Astronomy and Space Sciences
The 2024 total solar eclipse offered a rare opportunity to connect world-class space scientists with communities in rural America. Here, we reflect on a grassroots outreach event held in Dardanelle, Arkansas, a small farming town located along the path ...

Response of the Land‐Atmosphere System Over North‐Central Oklahoma During the 2017 Eclipse

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, 2018
On 21 August 2017, a solar eclipse occurred over the continental United States resulting in a rapid reduction and subsequent increase of solar radiation over a large region of the country.

Continuous testing in eclipse

open access: yesProceedings of the 27th international conference on Software engineering - ICSE '05, 2004
AbstractContinuous testing uses excess cycles on a developer's workstation to continuously run regression tests in the background, providing rapid feedback about test failures as source code is edited. It is intended to reduce the time and energy required to keep code well-tested, and to prevent regression errors from persisting uncaught for long ...

Glucose Deprivation‐Driven Concurrent Induction of Apoptosis/Disulfidptosis/Ferroptosis by Tumor Targeting Nanoassemblies in Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Innovative hybrid nanoassemblies installed with ferrocene, D‐α‐tocopherol succinate, and phloretin exploit the metabolic vulnerability of triple‐negative breast cancer under glucose starvation. By blocking glucose uptake, this single nanoplatform simultaneously orchestrates apoptosis, disulfidptosis, and ferroptosis to achieve synergistic and ...

Infusible Extracellular Matrix Biomaterial Enhances Cell‐Specific Pro‐Repair Responses Following Acute Myocardial Infarction

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
We measure the cell‐specific responses of administering infusible ECM (iECM) in acute myocardial infarction (MI) across multiple timepoints. Using single‐nucleus RNA sequencing and spatial transcriptomics, we measure macrophage activation, fibroblast remodeling, increased vascular development, lymphangiogenesis, cardioprotection, and neurogenesis ...
