THE ECLIPSING BINARY SYSTEM BM ORI
Photometric and spectroscopic features of eclipsing binary system BM Ori can be described well by a model in which the components are the primary star B3 ZAMS, the secondary F2 pre-main sequence star and a dusty envelope of large grains around the ...

Photometric study of an eclipsing binary in Praesepe [PDF]
We present CCD photometric observations of an eclipsing binary in the direction of the open cluster Praesepe using the 2 m telescope of IUCAA Girawali Observatory, India. Though the system was classified as an eclipsing binary by Pepper et al.(2008),detail investigations were lacking.

Multidimensional Cellular Micro‐Compartments to Model Invasive Lobular Carcinoma Dormancy
Invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC) is an understudied subtype of breast cancer that is susceptible to late recurrences. In this study, micro‐compartmentalization techniques spanning multiple dimensions, including 2D, pseudo‐3D, and 3D, are integrated to uncover the mechanisms underlying ILC dormancy, revealing the central role of p27Kip1.

Notes on the spectra of eclipsing binaries.
The writer is engaged in a program of observing eclipsing binaries with the principal aim of obtaining masses and radii of stars of various types. For this purpose it is necessary that radial velocities of both components of a system be obtained.

The Eclipses of the Close Binary Star BE UMa [PDF]
BE UMa is a close binary star, not transferring mass, with an extremely hot primary star irradiating the inner face of the cool secondary star. The light curve shows a large-amplitude, sinusoidal variation with a period of 2.29 d, and an eclipse that is centered on the minimum of the variation [1], [3].

α‐MoO3 is established as a high‐index, low‐loss anisotropic platform bridging mid‐infrared polaritonics and ultraviolet‐visible nanophotonics. Spectroscopic ellipsometry and calculations reveal refractive indices exceeding 3.9, with the largest in‐plane birefringence among transparent layered crystals at 425–500 nm, enabling zero‐order UV waveplates ...

White dwarfs in the WTS: Eclipsing binaries [PDF]
We have identified photometric white dwarf candidates in the WFCAM transit survey through a reduced proper motion versus colour approach. Box-fitting with parameters adjusted to detect the unique signature of a white dwarf + planet/brown dwarf transit/eclipse event was performed, as well as looking for variability due to the irradiation of the ...

Spheroid‐On‐A‐Drop: A Modular Droplet Microfluidics Platform
The proposed Spheroid‐on‐a‐Drop platform represents a reproducible and tunable platform for the fabrication of biocompatible GelMA‐based microgels, able to support controlled 3D tumor spheroid culture. Its precise control over droplet dynamics and cell distribution paves the way for advanced applications in tissue modeling, drug screening, and ...

The Triple System V1371 Tau: An Eclipsing Binary with an Outer Be Star
Although triple systems are common, their orbital dynamics and stellar evolution remain poorly understood. We investigated the V1371 Tau system using TESS photometry, multiepoch spectroscopy, and recent interferometric data, confirming it as a rare ...

Radial velocity and light curves analysis of the eclipsing binary NN Vir
The eclipsing binary NN Vir is a short period system showing an EW-type light curve. Photometric Observations of NN Vir were done by Gomez-Ferrellad & Garcia-Melendo (1997) at Esteve Duran Observatory.
