Resistant Peanut Genotype Reprograms Rhizosphere Metabolism to Enhance Bacterial Wilt Suppression
The resistant peanut genotype selectively recruits beneficial bacteria, which coincides with the activation of salicylic acid (SA)‐dependent systemic acquired resistance (SAR) against Ralstonia solanacearum. Keystone rhizosphere metabolites are positively correlated with both beneficial microbiome assembly and SAR gene expression.

Regional Variation Exaggerates Ecological Divergence in Niche Models [PDF]
Traditionally, the goal of systematics has been to produce classifications that are both strongly supported and biologically meaningful. In recent years several authors have advocated complementing phylogenetic analyses with measures of another form of evolutionary change, ecological divergence. These analyses frequently rely on ecological niche models

A gap‐free genome assembly and multi‐omics comparison of the terrestrial slug Laevichaulis alte with an aquatic relative reveal that expansion of the VEGF family orchestrates mucus production, lipid metabolism, and immune defense—highlighting key molecular innovations for conquering life on land.

An optimized single‐cell transcriptomic framework profiles over 60 000 cells to map the ovine rumen microbiome, partitioning the ecosystem into seven cross‐species functional clusters. In heat‐resistant hosts, a lineage‐specific metabolic shift in Anaerovibrio lipolyticus toward a highly glycolytic phenotype contributes to a “nutritional sparing ...

Projected Climate Change Effects on Nuthatch Distribution and Diversity Across Asia
We used ecological niche modeling approaches to explore climate change implications for one family of birds, the Sittidae, in Asia. Quantitative niche models based on present-day distributions for each of 13 species were projected onto future climate ...

The iPRF‐MA/Alg‐NHS/Lut@EGCG (PGAE) double‐network hydrogel achieves durable wet adhesion in the oral environment. It simultaneously reprograms neutrophils from NETosis to phagocytosis for biofilm clearance, and activates the FAK‐RhoA‐YAP mechanotransduction pathway in gingival fibroblasts to drive extracellular matrix remodeling, thereby promoting ...

According to Brown's hypothesis, generalists have high niche breadth and can tolerate a wide variety of environmental conditions resulting in large geographic range sizes. Conversely, specialists have low niche breadth and small range sizes.
