Chitosan‐Carbon Dot Composite Materials Form a Leaf Surface Barrier to Mitigate the Enrichment and Invasion of Nanoplastics: From Leaf Interface to Systemic Response

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Foliar spraying of CS‐CDs can form a film on the leaves of Brassica rapa, effectively reducing the enrichment and absorption of PS in the leaves, while increasing the biomass and nutrient content of the plants. In addition, CS‐CDs can also enrich the interfoliar microbial community and activate the plant's own defense metabolic pathways.

Temporal Evolution, Source Apportionment, and Health Risks of Atmospheric Halocarbons: A Case Study in the Central Yangtze River Delta Region

open access: yesToxics
Recently, the environmental impact of halocarbons has become increasingly concerning, particularly due to the growing influence of non-regulated halocarbons on stratospheric ozone depletion and their adverse health effects in the troposphere.

A Dual‐Functional Biohybrid Nanorobot to Synergistically Eradicate Biofilm and Degrade Antibiotic Resistance Genes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A biohybrid nanorobot integrating lytic bacteriophage N4 with Pd nanozymes is developed for targeted eradication of multidrug‐resistant E. coli biofilms. Synergistic bacterial lysis and ROS‐mediated oxidation enable simultaneous biofilm removal and antibiotic resistance genes degradation, maintaining high efficacy in complex wastewater environments ...

Iron-Containing Flocs Derived from Environmental Emergency Response Influenced Nitrogen Cycling Driven by Microorganisms in River Sediments

open access: yesMicroorganisms
In situ coagulation is regarded as the most effective measure in response to the frequent metal spills in China. Excessive coagulant is often used in pursuit of extremely high removal rates of contaminants. Yet the secondary ecological impact of the iron-

Ecological niche models based on occurrence records of the amphibian chytrid fungus overestimate lethal chytridiomycosis risk

open access: yes
Ecological niche models (ENMs) have been used frequently to predict the distribution and future spread of the pathogenic chytrid fungus Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis (Bd).

The Third‐Generation Magnetic Super‐Stable Mineralizer: Complete Removal and Separation of Multiple Heavy Metal Pollutants

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The 3rd‐generation magnetic super‐stable mineralizer M‐MgAl‐700 features a core‐shell structure, strong superparamagnetism, large surface area, and abundant oxygen defects. It achieves exceptional Cd(II) and As(V) mineralization capacities, reducing both pollutants in co‐contaminated water and soil to meet national standards.

Distribution and contamination assessment of arsenic and mercury in surface sediments from the intertidal zone of Yantai Sishili Bay, China

open access: yes, 2018
Sixty surface sediment samples from the intertidal zone of Yantai Sishili Bay (YSB) have been analyzed for arsenic (As) and mercury (Hg) to evaluate their contamination levels and potential ecological risks.

Phase Fraction Modulation Enhances Li+/Na+ Diffusion Disparity in Spent LiFePO4 Cathodes for Efficient Lithium Extraction from Brine

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A direct cascaded utilization strategy for spent LiFePO4 batteries efficiently extracts lithium from brine, embodying the “urban mining” concept. Phase fraction modulation revealed its significant impact on local bond lengths of crystal structure and the Li/Na diffusion energy barrier, identifying the best material (Li0.19FePO4) for lithium extraction.

Eco‐Geography Reverses Dominant AMR Reservoirs in Klebsiella pneumoniae: Integron‐Rich Mobilomes and Cross‐Niche Connectivity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Dominant antimicrobial resistance reservoirs in Klebsiella pneumoniae vary across eco‐geographic settings rather than following a universal pattern. Integrated One Health and global genomic analyses show that lineage structure, integron load, and cross‐niche connectivity shape whether AMR burden accumulates primarily in human or nonhuman compartments ...
