UK based financial firms following Brexit reported net disinvestment of 15 billion pounds. This was the fifth time financial disinvestment occurred since the production of this data: 1987. Parallel to this event, Economic Policy Uncertainty (EPU) in the UK experienced its biggest rise during Brexit June 2016.

The paper analyzes the relation between monetary uncertainty and government incentives to implement economic reforms that reduce structural distortions and make economies more flexible. It is shown that uncertainty about the central bank's reaction function leads to more reforms.

Consensus Formation and Change are Enhanced by Neutrality
Neutral agents are shown to enhance both the formation and overturning of consensus in collective decision‐making. A general mathematical model and experiments with locusts and humans reveal that neutrality enables robust consensus via simple interactions and accelerates consensus change by reducing effective population size.
