More than proteins for empty stomachs: Wild meat in the BaTonga food system
Abstract Our paper highlights the limitations of the framework used by many conservation‐focused programmes that incorporate food security objectives. This framework encourages the substitution of wild proteins with domestic proteins by promoting animal farming in communities located near conservation areas.

Disrupted endocannabinoid signaling contributes to systemic inflammation in acute pancreatitis
Abstract Acute pancreatitis (AP) is an inflammatory disease that can lead to systemic complications in severe cases. The endocannabinoid system has emerged as a potential modulator of inflammation in AP. We investigated the role of the endocannabinoid 2‐arachidonoylglycerol (2‐AG) and the cannabinoid receptors CB1 and CB2 during AP.

Multiple Roles of Protamine Kinase SRPK1 and Phosphatase PP1γ in Sperm Development
ABSTRACT Protein phosphorylation regulates key events of male germ cell differentiation. In the testis, SRPK1 and PP1γ are involved in protamine phosphorylation and dephosphorylation, respectively, and their deregulation is linked to defective chromatin structure and male infertility.

This study proposes an automated method to infer brown bear hair snare interactions by detecting bipedal behavior in camera‐trap images using a pose estimation model and a multilayer perceptron (MLP). A YOLO‐based model, fine‐tuned from humans and dogs to a custom dataset, achieved high performance (≈93% keypoint precision and ≈96% classification ...

ABSTRACT Repairs are becoming more difficult to perform due to multiple factors, including obsolescence, complexity of designs, technological change and lack of information and spare parts. This underlines a conflict between repair and technological designs driven by accumulation logics that require increasing growth rates.
