CDK4/6 Inhibition Induces CD8+ T Cell Antitumor Immunity via MIF‐Induced Functional Orchestration of Tumor‐Associated Macrophages

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CDK4/6 inhibition promotes CD8+ T cell expansion through tumor‐macrophage crosstalk by activating HIF‐1α and enhancing MIF‐CD44/CD74 signaling. This reprograms TAMs to boost MHC‐I antigen presentation, and CDK4/6 inhibitor‐trained M1 TAM supernatant therapy synergizes with low‐dose PD‐1 blockade to restore antitumor immunity.

A Habitat and a Parasite: Adult and Larval Parasitic Freshwater Mussels Impact Habitat Choice and Predator–Prey Interactions of a Host Fish and Its Prey

open access: yesEcology and Evolution
Parasitic freshwater mussels are endangered ecosystem engineers with an array of impacts on multiple trophic levels and life stages. While the impacts of adult mussels on separate trophic levels have been studied, few have directly tested how adult ...

Aberrant SUMOylation Restricts the Targetable Cancer Immunopeptidome

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Pharmacological SUMOylation inhibition (SUMOi) counteracts tumor immune evasion by unmasking an immunogenic HLA‐I peptide and neoepitope repertoire. By restoring HLA‐I ligand availability through increased antigen processing and presentation, enhanced proteasomal cleavage, and modulated TAP1 peptide affinity, SUMOi boosts tumor immunogenicity ...

Nutrient-induced acidification modulates soil biodiversity-function relationships

open access: yesNature Communications
Nutrient enrichment is a major global change component that often disrupts the relationship between aboveground biodiversity and ecosystem functions by promoting species dominance, altering trophic interactions, and reducing ecosystem stability. Emerging

Heuristically Adaptive Diffusion‐Model Evolutionary Strategy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Building on the mathematical equivalence between diffusion models and evolutionary algorithms, researchers demonstrate unprecedented control over evolutionary optimization through conditional diffusion. By training diffusion models to associate parameters with specific traits, they can guide evolution toward solutions exhibiting desired behaviors ...

Ecosystem Services Ecosystem Function and the Ecosystem Approach

open access: yes, 2013
This project focused on mapping the delivery of three ecosystems services each in one case study area in Scotland and then identify how the Scottish policies such as woodland expansion biodiversity, conservation and food production affect the land use.
