KH15D: a star eclipsed by a large scale dusty vortex? [PDF]
We propose that the large photometric variations of KH15D are due to an eclipsing swarm of solid particles trapped in giant gaseous vortex rotating at \~0.2 AU from the star.

FDG PET/CT imaging and circulating biomarkers of inflammation in desmoplakin cardiomyopathy
Abstract Aims Inflammation has been implicated in the pathogenesis of desmoplakin (DSP) cardiomyopathy, and retrospective studies have described abnormal myocardial fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) findings in symptomatic patients eventually diagnosed with DSP cardiomyopathy.

Effectiveness of epidural anesthesia for external cephalic version (ECV) [PDF]
The Cochrane review conducted in 2001 re-established the usefulness of external cephalic version (ECV). The success rate for ECV using epidural anesthesia or spinal anesthesia is reported to be 35 to 86%. In this study, we examined the effectiveness of epidural anesthesia for ECV.A retrospective cohort study was conducted of pregnant women who were at ...

External cephalic version outcomes with tocolysis and sedation: A 10‐year retrospective cohort study
Abstract Objective To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of external cephalic version (ECV) performed with tocolysis and sedation or spinal anesthesia, and to identify predictors of ECV success, complications, and delivery outcomes after successful ECV. Methods This 10‐year cohort study included 990 pregnant women with term non‐cephalic presentation

ABSTRACT Purpose To develop a new method for free‐running three‐dimensional (3D) extracellular volume mapping of the heart in a single scan with mid‐scan contrast injection. Methods 3D cardiac MR imaging was performed with a single scan that acquired k‐space data continuously using an inversion recovery (IR) sequence with a spoiled gradient‐echo ...
