Flexible piezoresistive pressure sensors underpin wearable and soft electronics. This review links sensing physics, including contact resistance modulation, quantum tunneling and percolation, to unified materials/structure design. We highlight composite and graded architectures, interfacial/porous engineering, and microstructured 3D conductive networks

Surgical treatment of adult moyamoya disease with combined sta-mca bypass and edas: demonstration of technique in video presentation [PDF]
The natural history of Moyamoya disease (MD) is variable. Moyamoya disease in children mostly presents with progressive ischemic complications and in adulthood it tends to present with hemorrhage. Surgical strategies depend on augmenting cerebral blood flow to the anterior cerebral circulation. Revascularization is the mainstay treatment for MD.

A view of Estimation of Distribution Algorithms through the lens of Expectation-Maximization
We show that a large class of Estimation of Distribution Algorithms, including, but not limited to, Covariance Matrix Adaption, can be written as a Monte Carlo Expectation-Maximization algorithm, and as exact EM in the limit of infinite samples.

An organic–inorganic mixed excited state is designed and demonstrated by combining the metal–metal and π–π interactions within a supramolecular Pt2–pyrene assembly. Directional orbital overlap between the Pt and carbon atoms gives rise to a long‐lived triplet emission, strong emission polarization, exciton–exciton annihilation, and efficient exciton ...

Decoding Carbon Dot Purity by Nuclear Magnetic Resonance
NMR spectroscopy tracks the removal of molecular and oligomeric impurities in carbon dots, enabling a (semi)quantitative evaluation of their purity through integrated peak analysis. ABSTRACT Carbon dots (CDs) have attracted increasing attention in recent years and have been widely explored in many fields.
