Eddy Current Transducer with Rotating Permanent Magnets to Test Planar Conducting Plates

open access: yesSensors, 2019
In this paper, we present an eddy current transducer with rotating permanent magnets for the inspection of planar conducting plates. The transducer consists of a rotating head with permanent magnets, which is used to generate variable magnetic fields and

3D-FOX—A 3D Transient Electromagnetic Code for Eddy Currents Computation in Superconducting Magnet Structures: DTT TF Fast Current Discharge Analysis

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2022
Bulky metallic structures are needed in the toroidal field (TF) superconducting magnets for fusion applications to withstand the large Lorentz forces acting on the winding. The pulsed coil operation during a plasma scenario and the fast current discharge,

A damped forward EMI model for a horizontally stratified earth

open access: yes, 2020
If a magnetic dipole is placed above the surface of the earth, the Electromagnetic Induction (EMI) effect, encoded in Maxwell's equations, causes eddy currents in the soil which, on their turn, induce response electromagnetic fields.

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

About the analisys of simultaneous induction hardening method of pinions with rectangular coil [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, 2008
This paper proposes simultaneous hardeningmethod of pinions with eddy currents using rectangularcoil. This proceeding remark in little clear advantage facefrom individual treatment of pinions tooth.

Large‐scale bidirectional arrayed genetic screens identify OXR1 and EMC4 as modifiers of αSynuclein aggregation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Tidal and internal tidal impacts in the Tasman Sea

open access: yesGeoscience Letters, 2023
Barotropic and baroclinic tides were simulated for the Coral and Tasman Seas off eastern Australia and compared to a simulation without tides. Both simulations included geostrophic currents and replicated a current analogous to the East Australian ...

Influence of a thin compressible insoluble liquid film on the eddy currents generated by interacting surface waves

open access: yes, 2018
Recently the generation of eddy currents by interacting surface waves was observed experimentally. The phenomenon provides the possibility for manipulation of particles which are immersed in the fluid.

Vertical structure and temporal evolution of an anticyclonic eddy in the Balearic Sea (western Mediterranean) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
An anticyclonic eddy in the Balearic Sea (western Mediterranean) was described using data from a mooring line deployed at the northern slope of Mallorca Island at about 900 m deep.

Association of Corticospinal Tract Asymmetry With Ambulatory Ability After Intracerebral Hemorrhage

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Ambulatory ability after intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) is important to patients. We tested whether asymmetry between ipsi‐ and contra‐lesional corticospinal tracts (CSTs) assessed by diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) is associated with post‐ICH ambulation.
