Simple Giant Magnetoresistance Probe Based Eddy Current System of Defect Characterization for Non-Destructive Testing

open access: yesAdvanced Electromagnetics, 2022
The purpose of this paper is to present a new giant magnetoresistance (GMR) sensor, in eddy current testing technique for surface defect detection, in conducting materials, we show that the GMR based eddy currents probe is more sensitive than the ...

A High-Sensitivity Flexible Eddy Current Array Sensor for Crack Monitoring of Welded Structures under Varying Environment

open access: yesSensors, 2018
This paper develops a high-sensitivity flexible eddy current array (HS-FECA) sensor for crack monitoring of welded structures under varying environment. Firstly, effects of stress, temperature and crack on output signals of the traditional flexible eddy ...

Demo 20-24 Eddy Current Pendulum [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
A pendulum with a large bob that is constructed from a metal disc swings between the pole tips of a strong permanent magnet. Its motion damps quickly due to the large eddy currents produced in the pendulum bob.

Differential expression of cancer‐related genes supports prediction of poor response to first‐line treatments in T‐ALL pediatric patients with high minimal residual disease

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the present work, we have identified a transcriptional signature based on the differential expression of six genes (BCL2&MAST4, HSH2D&LAT2, METRN&PITPNM2) that would facilitate the early detection of T‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T‐ALL) patients prone to a poor treatment response and could be implemented at diagnosis, along with other risk ...

Magneto-electric network models in electromagnetism [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Network models of an electromagnetic field containing both eddy and displacement currents are presented. The models consist of magnetic and electric networks coupled via sources.

Large‐scale bidirectional arrayed genetic screens identify OXR1 and EMC4 as modifiers of αSynuclein aggregation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Eddy Current Transducer with Rotating Permanent Magnets to Test Planar Conducting Plates

open access: yesSensors, 2019
In this paper, we present an eddy current transducer with rotating permanent magnets for the inspection of planar conducting plates. The transducer consists of a rotating head with permanent magnets, which is used to generate variable magnetic fields and

A cryogenic eddy current microprobe

open access: yesNDT International, 1989
In nondestructive eddy current testing (ET), wire coils are excited to induce electric currents in conducting test specimens. The distribution of these eddy currents is altered by the presence of flaws in the material or by changes in material properties. The distribution changes are then sensed by one or more detector coils.
