FEBS Letters, EarlyView.Disruptions in cGMP and cAMP signaling can contribute to retinal dysfunction and photoreceptor loss in retinitis pigmentosa. This perspective examines the mechanisms and evaluates emerging evidence on targeting these pathways as a potential therapeutic strategy to slow or prevent retinal degeneration.

Journal of Substance Abuse Treatment, 1991 We describe a patient on methadone maintenance who developed distal leg edema after years of treatment. The edema resolved when methadone was discontinued and recurred when it was restarted. This patient is compared to three others reported in the literature who also developed fluid retention shortly after being placed on methadone.

Loss of proton‐sensing GPR4 reduces tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer
Molecular Oncology, EarlyView.G protein‐coupled receptor 4 (GPR4) is a pH‐sensing receptor activated by acidic pH. GPR4 expression is increased in patients with inflammatory bowel disease who are at high risk of developing colorectal cancer. In mouse models, loss of GPR4 attenuated tumor progression. This correlated with increased IL2 and natural killer cell activity.
