Multi-Objective Privacy-Preserving Function Placement in an Edge-Cloud FaaS Marketplace
The shift toward modular microservices has driven the success of serverless Function-as-a-Service (FaaS) as a way to offload infrastructure management. However, meeting the diverse needs of emerging applications—from ultra-low latency control to budget ...

An “Interface Reactor” strategy boosts simulation stability by 2–3 orders of magnitude, enabling stable 100 ns molecular dynamics of electrode‐electrolyte interfaces. Distinct SEI formation mechanisms are revealed: mixed co‐formation in carbonates versus surface‐energy‐controlled NaF crystallization in ethers. Metadynamics simulations further elucidate

A high‐entropy strategy is developed to break the trade‐off between low melting point and high ionic conductivity in molten salt electrolytes. By incorporating CsBr and LiF into the LiCl‐LiBr‐KBr system, the quinary LiF‐LiCl‐LiBr‐KBr‐CsBr electrolyte achieves a record‐low melting point of 229.5°C while maintaining a high conductivity of 1.19 S cm−1 at ...

How can humanity achieve lunar self‐sufficiency? We utilize Au topology networks to modify the abundant lunar ilmenite. This catalyst, under sunlight, can convert waste carbon dioxide into space fuel. This design leverages the moon's natural vacuum for green manufacturing, avoiding the waste of gold and serving as “artificial chloroplasts” to sustain ...

This work demonstrates a novel energy regulation strategy using the long‐lived S₁ state as a “kinetic capacitor” to achieve temporally decoupled integration of photoinduced deformation and multicolor fluorescence in naphthalimide‐functionalized carbon dots. This dual‐channel programmable shunting of excited‐state energy establishes a dynamic single‐use

An Experimental Study of the Response Time in an Edge-Cloud Continuum with ClusterLink
In this paper, we conduct an experimental study to provide a general sense of the application response time implications that inter-cluster communication experiences at the edge at the example of a specific IoT-edge-cloud contiuum solution from the EU Project ICOS called ClusterLink.
