Controllable Edge Feature Sharpening for Dental Applications [PDF]
This paper presents a new approach to sharpen blurred edge features in scanned tooth preparation surfaces generated by structured-light scanners. It aims to efficiently enhance the edge features so that the embedded feature lines can be easily identified in dental CAD systems, and to avoid unnatural oversharpening geometry.

Image Segmentation Method Based on MRF with Edge Constrained Local Region [PDF]
The conventional Markov Random Field(MRF) model is sensitive to noise and produces fuzzy edges when segmenting complex natural images. To address the problem, this paper proposes an Edge Constrained Local Region MRF(ECLRMRF) segmentation model.Euclidean ...

Modeling Edge Features with Deep Bayesian Graph Networks [PDF]
We propose an extension of the Contextual Graph Markov Model, a deep and probabilistic machine learning model for graphs, to model the distribution of edge features.

Improving Semantic Segmentation via Decoupled Body and Edge Information
In this paper, we propose a method that uses the idea of decoupling and unites edge information for semantic segmentation. We build a new dual-stream CNN architecture that fully considers the interaction between the body and the edge of the object, and ...

EF-Razor: An Effective Edge-Feature Processing Method in Visual SLAM
Feature-based visual simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) is an effective localization approach for robots in unknown environments. Classic handcrafted features perform well in 2D image matching tasks.

FSED-feature selective edge detection
We present a method that finds edges between certain image features, e.g. gray-levels, and disregards edges between other features. The method uses a channel representation of the features and performs normalized convolution using the channel values as certainties. This means that areas with certain features can be disregarded by the edge filter.

Co-embedding of edges and nodes with deep graph convolutional neural networks
Graph neural networks (GNNs) have significant advantages in dealing with non-Euclidean data and have been widely used in various fields. However, most of the existing GNN models face two main challenges: (1) Most GNN models built upon the message-passing
