The extremal spectral radii of $k$-uniform supertrees
In this paper, we study some extremal problems of three kinds of spectral radii of $k$-uniform hypergraphs (the adjacency spectral radius, the signless Laplacian spectral radius and the incidence $Q$-spectral radius). We call a connected and acyclic $k$

Truncations of stellar disk and warps of HI-layers in edge-on spiral galaxies [PDF]
Edge-on spiral galaxies often have stellar disks with relatively sharp truncations and warped HI-layers in the outer parts. Warps appear to start preferentially near the optical boundaries of the disks.

Far-Ultraviolet Cooling Features of the Antlia Supernova Remnant
We present far-ultraviolet observations of the Antlia supernova remnant obtained with Far-ultraviolet IMaging Spectrograph (FIMS, also called SPEAR). The strongest lines observed are C IV 1548,1551 and C III 977.

Edge fluctuations for random normal matrix ensembles
A famous result going back to Eric Kostlan states that the moduli of the eigenvalues of random normal matrices with radial potential are independent yet non identically distributed.

Haloes at the ragged edge: the importance of the splashback radius [PDF]
We have explored the outskirts of dark matter haloes out to 2.5 times the virial radius using a large sample of halos drawn from Illustris, along with a set of zoom simulations (MUGS). Using these, we make a systematic exploration of the shape profile beyond R$_{vir}$.

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

Cutting force is a basic machining performance indicator of cost and quality. There is a lack of information about the tool geometry influence on the cutting force in turning polyamide PA66, which is widely used in manufacturing of machine elements that ...

Heredity for generalized power domination
In this paper, we study the behaviour of the generalized power domination number of a graph by small changes on the graph, namely edge and vertex deletion and edge contraction.
