Blockchain technology disruptions: Exploring accounting and auditing academics and practitioners' perception

open access: yesAccounting &Finance, EarlyView.
Abstract This study explores the practical impact of blockchain technology (BCT), which contrasts strongly with literature that has predominantly hypothesised BCT's potential to disrupt accounting practice. We interviewed 44 practitioners and academics with knowledge of BCT across 13 countries and industries.

Choroidal metastasis vs choroidal nevus - EDI OCT findings: case reports

open access: yes, 2022
Enhanced depth imaging optical coherence tomography (EDI-OCT) is a novel imaging modality that has helped retina specialists learn more about the choroid’s role in the eye. As a health professional who develops teamwork with specialists, an orthoptist must know about the higher-resolution images and improved imaging acquisition of lesions that EDI-OCT ...

Sistemik hipertansiyonu olan hastalarla sağlıklı gönüllülerin koroid kalınlığının EDI-OCT ile karşılaştırılması

open access: yes, 2021
ABSTRACT:PURPOSE: To investigate choroidal thickness changes in patients with systemic arterial hypertension.METHODS: The study included 50 patients (50 eyes) with newly diagnosed essential hypertension as study group and 50 healthy subjects (50 eyes) as control group. Choroidal thickness was measured with EDI (Enhanced depth imaging) mode of Cirrus HD-

Axial length, myopia progression, and myopic maculopathy in Stickler syndrome

open access: yesActa Ophthalmologica, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose We lack knowledge on the potentially progressive nature of and the prevalence of complications to myopia as a characteristic trait of Stickler syndrome. Methods This cross‐sectional study combines ophthalmic examination and medical record data on Danish patients with genetically confirmed Stickler syndrome type 1 (COL2A1) and type 2 ...

Measurement of choroidal perfusion and thickness following systemic sildenafil (Viagra) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Purpose: To demonstrate anatomic and physiologic changes in the human choroid following systemic sildenafil citrate (Viagra) using enhanced depth imaging spectral domain–optical coherence tomography (EDI-OCT) and swept-scan high-frequency digital ...

Intra‐annual energy density cycles of spring‐ and fall‐spawning Atlantic herring Clupea harengus reveal different reproductive allocation tactics

open access: yesJournal of Fish Biology, EarlyView.
Abstract Atlantic herring Clupea harengus are total spawners that exhibit a large degree of reproductive plasticity and have substantial intra‐annual variation in their energetic condition. Recent research suggests that the species may be declining in energetic condition in the northwest Atlantic Ocean from the few historical records, but comparisons ...

Evaluation of the Activity of Vogt–Koyanagi–Harada Disease; A Comparison of Indocyanine Green Angiography Scoring, Enhanced Depth Imaging Optical Coherence Tomography, and Choroidal Vascularity Index

open access: yesJournal of Current Ophthalmology
Purpose To investigate the correlation between choroidal biomarkers using enhanced depth imaging optical coherence tomography (EDI-OCT) and indocyanine green angiography (ICGA) scoring for monitoring the activity of Vogt–Koyanagi–Harada (VKH).
