EDR. Effetti collaterali 2

open access: yes, 2015
The revision of six funerary inscriptions and a group of fragments belonging to an imperial monument, already published in CIL, VI, led some young scholars to a few small but significant acquisitions. The new readings, discoveries and interpretations here published were obtained during the preliminary works for the digitization of these texts for EDR ...

EDR - Effetti collaterali 10

open access: yes
Along with the ongoing process of digitalization of the Greek and Latin inscriptions of ancient Italy in the Epigraphic Database Roma (www.edr-edr.it), a number of re-discoveries about Latin inscriptions from Rome have been made: a fragment of a new late antique senatorial inscription; two epigraphic texts once known only through manuscrupts; a ...

TRAINING SVMs WITH EDR ALGORITHM

International Journal of Neural Systems, 2001
The aim of this work is to present a new training algorithm for SVMs based on the pattern selection strategy called Error Dependent Repetition (EDR). With EDR, the presentation frequency of a pattern depends on its error: patterns with larger errors are selected more frequently and patterns with smaller error (or learned) are presented with minor ...

Intensity Generalization in EDR Audiometry

Journal of Speech and Hearing Research, 1964
Two groups of 15 normally hearing adults were conditioned on EDR audiometry to a 1 000 cps tone, one group at 60 dB hearing level and the other at 20 dB hearing level. All subjects were then given 25 extinction trials at 10 dB hearing level. The purpose of the study was to examine resistance to extinction when conditioning is accomplished at a level ...

Suomi NPP EDR performance

2014 IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2014
In this paper we describe the current maturity status of the Environmental Data Records (EDRs) from the Suomi National Polar-orbiting Partnership (S-NPP) satellite. The maturity status is measured by the performance of the algorithm against the documented requirements as well as the level of validation effort accomplished.

CYC, WordNet, and EDR

Communications of the ACM, 1995
I applaud Miller's WordNet project and feel that there is much in common in our approaches, even though there are fundamental differences in the two expressions of that spirit. Here, I list the four differences I noted, closing with a crucial observation concerning the common spirit in our work.

The EDR electronic dictionary

Communications of the ACM, 1995
Natural language processing will grow into a vital industrial technology in the next five to 10 years. But this growth depends on the development of large linguistic databases that capture natural language phenomena [1, 2]. Another important theme for future work is development of large knowledge bases that are shared widely by different groups.

Limestone selection criteria for EDR water remineralization

open access: yesDesalination, 2008
13 páginas, 5 figuras, 3 tablas.Water scarcity in Mediterranean regions has led to projects that increase water resources by desalination. In this context, it is planned to expand and improve the drinking water treatment plant of the Llobregat River near

EDR in Circular Channels

Journal of Irrigation and Drainage Engineering, 2001
This paper presents a simplified approach to determine the end depth of a free overfall in horizontal or mildly sloping circular channels. The flow over a free overfall in a circular channel is simulated by that over a sharp-crested weir to calculate the end-depth ratio (EDR).
