Intrinsically Mitochondria‐Targeting Nanozyme via Coordination‐Assembly of Natural Quercetin for Cascade Antioxidant Therapy of Cerebral Ischemia‐Reperfusion Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study uncovers that quercetin naturally targets mitochondria. By coordinating quercetin with Fe3+, we engineer an ultrasmall cascade nanozyme (MCN) with superoxide dismutase‐catalase activities. MCN crosses the damaged blood–brain barrier, scavenges mitochondrial ROS, prevents mitochondrial DNA leakage, and blocks the cGAS‐STING pathway, thereby ...

Feasibility and design of a tertiary education entitlement in Australia [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Overview: This report to the Mitchell Institute presents the outcomes of modelling the potential costs of an income contingent loan (ICL) that would form a core element of a tertiary education entitlement, as proposed in the February 2015 Mitchell ...

Inhibition of KDEL Receptors Remodels the Tumor Microenvironment for T Cell Independent Tumor Regression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Inhibition of KDELR2 in a small fraction of tumor cells generates sustainable immunogenic cell death conditions within the tumor microenvironment. These conditions promote the regression of tumors in a T cell independent manner. During regression, macrophages prime T cells that subsequently provide systemic protection against recurrence. The potency of

Neuron‐Derived MIF Engages VCAM1 to Fuel a Self‐Amplifying CXCL8 Loop That Drives Perineural Invasion and Metastasis in Gastric Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Neuron‐derived MIF binds VCAM1 on gastric cancer cells and activates ERK/STAT3 signaling, leading to CXCL8 transcription and secretion. Tumor‐derived CXCL8 subsequently stimulates neuronal CXCR2 to enhance MIF production, establishing a self‐amplifying MIF–VCAM1–CXCL8 positive‐feedback loop that promotes perineural invasion, tumor progression, and ...

Repurposing public education: governmental rationality of education export in Finland through public education problematisations

open access: yes
The Finnish government’s education export (FGEE) programme, which was initiated in 2010, seeks to promote and coordinate education as an export product. Until recently, research on the Finnish education export has focused on individual education sectors,

Targeting WDR12 Unleashes T‐Cell‐Mediated Antitumor Activity in Melanoma by Destabilizing CD276

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
WDR12 cooperates with the chaperonin subunit CCT7 to maintain CD276 stability on tumor cells, suppressing T‐cell activity and promoting immune escape. SU14813, a small‐molecule WDR12 inhibitor, reduces CD276 stability and relieves CD276‐mediated T‐cell suppression.
