Seismic anisotropy and vertical fractures in the Edwards aquifer
SEG Technical Program Expanded Abstracts 2004, 2004High resolution seismic data are acquired from the Edwards limestone formation in an area of outcrop within the Government Canyon State Natural Area, to infer the local orientation of vertical fracturing. The experiment consists of a single 3D seismic array of 16 3C recording stations.

2019ABSTRACT Geophysical methods have been an important component of effective hydrogeologic investigations over the Edwards and Trinity Aquifers in central Texas. Various electrical and electromagnetic methods have been used to map stratigraphy and geologic structure and to locate buried karst features.

The use of water from the Edwards Aquifers, Texas
2019ABSTRACT Both people and the environment require water. The environment in Texas depends upon water discharged from the Edwards Aquifers, including ~1.5 million megaliters per year (ML/yr) from the Edwards-Trinity (Plateau) Aquifer and ~1 million ML/yr from the Edwards (Balcones Fault Zone) Aquifer.
