edX-MAS

Proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Technological Ecosystems for Enhancing Multiculturality, 2017
In this article an interactive tool for supporting the generation of Predictive Models for edX MOOCs is presented. This tool is a modular and scalable application that, based on the data collected from a MOOC course, allows the simple application of a complete Data Science process, where Machine Learning algorithms are applied to generate predictive ...

edX log data analysis made easy

Proceedings of the Tenth International Conference on Learning Analytics & Knowledge, 2020
Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), delivered on platforms such as edX and Coursera, have led to a surge in large-scale learning research. MOOC platforms gather a continuous stream of learner traces, which can amount to several Gigabytes per MOOC, that learning analytics researchers use to conduct exploratory analyses as well as to evaluate deployed ...

EDX - Energiedispersive Röntgenspektroskopie

2017

Optimization of EDX performance in Tecnai TEMs

Micron, 2003
The quality of X-ray spectra from FEGTEMs has been improved by three different means: the use of beryllium shields, improved collimation and improved specimen holder geometry. The improvements lead to a significant increase in peak-to-background ratios and a reduction in spurious peaks in the EDX spectra.
