Effects of Distance Learning on Learning Effectiveness

open access: yesEURASIA Journal of Mathematics, Science and Technology Education, 2014
The development of computers in the past two decades has resulted in the changes of education in enterprises and schools. The advance of computer hardware and platforms allow colleges generally applying distance courses to instruction that both Ministry of Education and colleges have paid attention to the development of Distance Learning.

Effective long distance q q ¯ $$ q\overline{q} $$ potential in holographic RG flows

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
We study the q q ¯ $$ q\overline{q} $$ potential in strongly coupled non-conformal field theories with a non-trivial renormalization group flow via holography.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

The Effect of Skid Distance on Distance Control in Golf Putting

open access: yesProcedia Engineering, 2014
AbstractIn putting, a common assumption is made that a performance improvement will be made when the ball begins to roll more quickly following the impact with the club. Previous research has reported that distance control accounts for 80% of putting performance.

Effective Distance of Higher Dimensional HGPs and Weight-Reduced Quantum LDPC Codes [PDF]

open access: yesQuantum
Quantum error correction plays a prominent role in the realization of quantum computation, and quantum low-density parity-check (qLDPC) codes are believed to be practically useful stabilizer codes.

Residual tail twisting in ascidian larvae is stabilized by asymmetric myofibrils that resist bilateral symmetry restoration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...

Biophysical approaches for studying viral entry

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Viruses infect all living organisms and have been responsible for major epidemics and pandemics. Their ongoing evolutionary battle with host defenses creates a constant need for improved tools to study viral behavior. Advancing methods to probe viral attachment, fusion, and genome release deepen our understanding of how infections begin and support the

Study on Effective Operating Distance of Downhole Vortex Tool

open access: yesShiyou jixie, 2020
The inferior application performance of downhole vortex tools on domestic gas wells are due to the unclear understanding of the application conditions of vortex tools, improper well selection, and the tool structure that needs to be further optimized. To
