Effect of various processing parameters on the quality of papaya fruit tea [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Exotic fruits from which drinks are ma de in most tropical countries are so abundant and such in a great variety, that it would probably be impossible for people to sample all of them, but they worth a try.

Kinetic Insights into Precursor‐Assisted Soft Sphere Close Packing Revealed by In Situ GISAXS with Implications for Gas Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The versatile precursor‐assisted soft sphere close packing during slot‐die coating is investigated with in situ X‐ray scattering. The soft crystallization pathways towards a close packing involve multistep structural transitions such as surface nucleation, in‐plane, and out‐of‐plane crystallization.

Drying kinetics and effective moisture diffusivity of purslane undergoing microwave heat treatment

open access: yesKorean Journal of Chemical Engineering, 2010
The effects of microwave drying on moisture content, moisture ratio, drying time and effective moisture diffusivity of purslane leaves (Portulaca oleracea L.) were investigated. By increasing the microwave output power (180–900W) and the sample amounts (25–100 g), the drying time decreased from 43 to 12.5 minutes and increased from 27 to 54 minutes ...

Modelling of dimensional stability of fiber reinforced composite materials [PDF]

open access: yes
Various methods of predicting the expansion and diffusion properties of composite laminates are reviewed. The prediction equations for continuous fiber composites can be applied to SMC composites as the effective fiber aspect ratio in the latter is large
