Strategic Games and Truly Playable Effectivity Functions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
A well known (and often used) result by Marc Pauly states that for every playable effectivity function E there exists a strategic game that assigns to coalitions exactly the same power as E, and vice versa.

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Development of software for effective enterprice product policy creation

open access: yesВісник Національного технічного університету "ХПÌ": Системний аналіз, управління та інформаційні технології, 2018
The problem of developing a software tool for an effective enterprise product policy creation is considered. Existing methods for an enterprise product policy creation require the execution of a large number of computational operations, and those ...

Effectivity and effective continuity of multifunctions [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of Symbolic Logic, 2010
AbstractIf one wants to compute with infinite objects like real numbers or data streams, continuity is a necessary requirement: better and better (finite) approximations of the input are transformed into better and better (finite) approximations of the output.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Nash Consistent Representation of Effectivity Functions through Lottery Models [PDF]

open access: yes
Effectivity functions for finitely many players and alternatives are considered. It is shown that every monotonic and superadditive effectivity function can be augmented with equal chance lotteries to a finite lottery model - i.e., an effectivity ...

Enhancing psychiatry education: effectiveness of a psychodynamic psychotherapy module for borderline personality disorder for psychiatry residents

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychiatry
BackgroundPsychodynamic psychotherapy is the treatment of choice for borderline personality disorder (BPD); however, psychiatric residents frequently report difficulty in applying it, partly due to the lack of structured training models.

THE EFFECT OF RADIATION ON HEMOPOIESIS. IS THERE AN INDIRECT EFFECT? [PDF]

open access: yesBlood, 1948
Abstract 1. The general aim of the investigations here reported has been to obtain evidence for or against "indirect" radiation effects. 2. To this end, twenty-six successful cross circulation experiments (carotid to carotid anastomoses) have been performed between normal cats and radiated cats. 3.

Organizing the interface—Plasma membrane architecture and receptor dynamics in virus‐cell interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

Ex post Nash consistent representation of effectivity functions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We consider effectivity functions for finitely many players and alternatives. We assume that players have incomplete information with respect to the preferences of the other players.
