Simulation Tool for the Development of a Staged Combustion Pellet Stove Controller
Optimizing the combustion control concepts on a pellet stove with very low heat output is time-consuming and costly. In order to shorten the required laboratory test time, a 0-D transient tool was developed within the ERA-NET project “LowEmi-MicroStove”,

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Segmented Four-Element Photodiodes in a Three-Dimensional Laser Beam Angle Measurement
Based on the registration of two laser beam projections, a method for measuring the angular deviation of a laser beam from its initial position in three-dimensional space is proposed and experimentally demonstrated.

Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Optimization of the water conservation standard system based on the PS-PDCA method
In response to severe water shortages in China, we proposed an optimized water conservation standard system based on the model, which integrated political, economic, social, and technological (PEST) and strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats ...

A Cre‐dependent lentiviral vector for neuron subtype‐specific expression of large proteins
We designed a versatile and modular lentivector comprising a Cre‐dependent switch and self‐cleaving 2A peptide and tested it for co‐expression of GFP and a 2.8 kb gene of interest (GOI) in mouse cortical parvalbumin (PV+) interneurons and midbrain dopamine (TH+) neurons.

By dawn or dusk—how circadian timing rewrites bacterial infection outcomes
The circadian clock shapes immune function, yet its influence on infection outcomes is only beginning to be understood. This review highlights how circadian timing alters host responses to the bacterial pathogens Salmonella enterica, Listeria monocytogenes, and Streptococcus pneumoniae revealing that the effectiveness of immune defense depends not only

Hematopoietic (stem) cells—The elixir of life?
The aging of HSCs (hematopoietic stem cells) and the blood system leads to the decline of other organs. Rejuvenating aged HSCs improves the function of the blood system, slowing the aging of the heart, kidney, brain, and liver, and the occurrence of age‐related diseases.
