Ammonification Process Is Limited by Transformation of Medium Molecular Weight Nitrogenous Organics but Not Hydrolysis of Proteins

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A multi‐level analytical framework, integrating protein‐level persistence analysis, nontargeted HRMS formula tracking, peptide‐level proteomics, and targeted monomer quantification under varying redox conditions, together with FMO calculations reveal that ammonification is limited by medium molecular weight nitrogenous multimers.

Platycodon grandiflorus–Derived Nanovesicles Sensitize Gastric Cancer to T Cell Killing via Ferroptosis‐Driven Membrane Mechanical Remodeling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Plant‐derived nanovesicles from Platycodon grandiflorus act as bioactive lipid delivery platforms that transport γ‐linolenic acid into gastric cancer cells. This lipid cargo promotes ferroptotic lipid peroxidation, remodels membrane mechanics, and increases tumor‐cell susceptibility to cytotoxic T‐cell attack.

Experiments on Nonlocal Fluid‐Flow Metamaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A nonlocal fluid‐flow metamaterial composed of standard microfluidic tubes and connectors is designed. Hence, the current of the system at one position depends on the gradient of fluid flow at many other positions, leading to unusual alternating backward and forward laminar flows of water.

Unlocking Zenith Electronic State of Ni Sites in Ligand‐Engineered COFs for Efficient •O2−‐Driven Uranium Photoreduction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We develop a ligand engineering strategy to construct Ni‐diketimine‐linked COFs with precisely tuned Ni electronic states. By varying the coordinated diketone units, we achieve an optimal electronic configuration that enhances O2 adsorption and lowers the energy barrier for •O2− generation.

Thermal Shifts Dominate Single‐Gene Responses to Transcription‐Targeting Antibiotics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Thermal shifts reshape bacterial responses to transcription‐targeting antibiotics. In E. coli, temperature can dominate antibiotic‐induced genome‐wide expression, particularly outside 30°C–39°C, through changes in adenosine triphosphate (ATP), nucleoid organization, and drug‐target engagement.

Multifunctional Ionic Liquid Enabling Cation Homogenization and Lead Chelation for Pure‐Iodide Wide‐Bandgap Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work presents a multifunctional ionic liquid, [SO3H‐PMIm][OTf], that addresses A‐site cation inhomogeneity and lead toxicity in pure‐iodide wide‐bandgap perovskite solar cells. The additive enables homogeneous cation distribution, achieving 22.02% efficiency with 90% retention after 3000 h and reducing lead leakage by over 58%, thereby ...

A Spatiotemporal Single‐Cell Atlas Uncovers Dysregulated ECM Dynamics and Septal Remodeling Arrest in Human Ventricular Septal Defects

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Integrating single‐cell and spatial transcriptomics reveals human ventricular septal defect (VSD) as a disease of microenvironmental insufficiency and structural remodeling arrest. Attenuated endothelial‐fibroblast crosstalk, alongside downregulated THBS1/TGF‐β1 and MMP2 signaling networks, impairs the endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EndoMT) and

Atomically Dispersed Fe‐Modified SnS for Sn‐Centered Peroxymonosulfate Activation Toward Acetaminophen Degradation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Atomically dispersed Fe regulates the local electronic environment and surface properties of SnS, while PMS preferentially coordinates to Sn through Sn–O interaction. Fe incorporation further enhances the Sn–OPMS interfacial interaction, facilitating Sn‐centered PMS activation and the generation of SO4•−/•OH for APAP degradation, thereby clarifying the

Long‐Term Human Skin Platform for Modeling Chronic Inflammation, Environmental Stress, and Therapeutic Intervention

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An advanced, long‐term human skin platform maintains native skin structure and key tissue functions for up to four weeks. The platform models chronic inflammation, aging‐related skin changes, and UVB damage, enabling drug and topical interventions—including anti‐inflammatory therapy, senolytic treatment, and sunscreen—to be evaluated in intact human ...

Self‐Healing Pd(II) Cage Metallogels for Iodine Capture in Water and Heterogeneous Photocatalysis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Two carbazole‐derived metal‐organic cages hierarchically self‐assemble into supramolecular metallogels that integrate autonomous self‐healing, reversible stimuli responsiveness, high‐capacity aqueous iodine capture, and visible‐light‐driven photocatalytic sulfide oxidation within a single multifunctional platform.
